Socks with ties, transformer dresses and other interesting things

Shorts can be worn to the office, and for dyeing — directly on outerwear and shoes. What other trends are waiting for us this year?

Diesel: camouflage

Remember the clips of «Come on over» by Christina Aguilera, «Survivor» by Destiny’s Child or Avril Lavigne’s red carpet appearances in the early noughties — the fashion of that time is inseparable from camouflage. Just this sign of the 2000s is quoted by Diesel creative director Glen Martins in the new collection. Now camouflage can be not only mini-skirts and cargo pants, but also knitwear, tights and pointy shoes. 

Christian Dior: socks with ties

A good example of how one detail changes the mood of an image. The socks and knee socks in the lookbook of the most recent Dior collection are accompanied by ribbons that are tied at the shins. This style technique looks especially impressive in contrast with rough shoes — the ties balance the image and seem to make it more tender.

Proenza Schouler: Transformer dresses

The most practical dress is one that can be worn in several ways, according to designers Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCullough. For example, they suggest transforming a knitted dress in an emerald shade with a pin with a beautiful stone: it can be fastened in front or at the waist, forming draperies in different ways. Other models have buttoned sleeves — by unbuttoning them partially or completely, you also change the silhouette.

Max Mara: denim shorts as part of a business image

When talking about denim shorts, the legendary image of Cindy Crawford in a Pepsi commercial comes to mind. The combination of a white T—shirt and shorts is, of course, an eternal union, but not the only possible one. As shown in the new Max Mara lookbook, denim shorts will also be appropriate in business looks. Choose straight models with a length just above the knee, tuck a shirt into them and, if desired, throw on a jacket — there is not the slightest chance to reproach you for non-compliance with the dress code.

Jil Sander: brooches on jackets and coats

A bored down jacket or coat can be diversified with a brooch, as in the new collection of Luke and Lucy Meyer. Forget the stereotype that the brooch should be pinned just below the shoulder: we advise you to try, on the contrary, an unusual position — for example, place the brooch in the center immediately under the lapels or closer to the collar.
