The show of the new Saint Laurent collection at Paris Fashion Week always becomes one of the most significant and memorable events — every season more than a hundred guests gather near the Eiffel Tower to see Anthony Vaccarello’s new creations under the light of hundreds of spotlights. But this time, instead of an open area, guests were waiting for a space with panoramic windows, from which the main attraction of Paris could be seen only in the distance. From the first seconds it became clear that this collection was special for Vaccarello — he dedicated it to his father.

The first models to appear on the catwalk were in snow-white silk combinations, over which double-breasted broad-shouldered jackets, leather raincoats and strict coats were worn. The symbiosis of male and female was expressed in a combination of absolutely transparent skirts with pea jackets and voluminous jackets. French chic was personified by dresses made of «invisible» knitwear, transparent blouses combined with leggings, from which any legs visually seem endless, and fur coats worn on a naked body. As for accessories, next fall Vaccarello suggests wearing dozens of bracelets and large sunglasses.
