Jackets and dresses in the «goose’s foot»

There are not just a lot of pie-de-bullets in the autumn-winter collections, but a lot: Balenciaga and Balmain, R13 and Chloe, Stella McCartney and Victoria Beckham. But most of all this season, «crow’s foot» is associated with Eddie Slimane’s collection for Celine in the spirit of the bourgeois 1970s. This is exactly what we will focus on if we find things with such an ornament in the wardrobe of our mother or grandmother: dresses with a pattern in a broken cage are going to be worn with knee-high boots, midi skirts with leather jackets, and jackets with skinny jeans.

It is expected, but along with the fashion for the 1970s, silk shirts with bows became incredibly popular. You can, of course, repeat the fashion of that decade with the help of models from the new collections of Gucci or Celine, or you can try to look for original samples from the 1970s in vintage stores. Personally, we choose the second option — and plan to wear such a shirt over a turtleneck, as in the Christian Dior lookbook.

On the one hand, a zipper sweater is in the new collections of Prada, Acne Studios, Isabel Marant and other brands we respect. On the other hand, for those who grew up in our country, the thing immediately evokes associations with the 1990s, family outings to the country, our dads and older brothers who wore a similar sweater. It seems that we have figured out how to eliminate the contradiction: we are looking for a zipper sweater at the dacha and wear it as prescribed by fresh lookbooks — that is, with knee-length suit shorts, light trousers or over beautiful dresses.

Knitted skirts

Woolen things are our salvation for the winter. It is especially nice that the trend book is favorable to them: knitted suits are found in the autumn-winter collections of Victoria Beckham, Balenciaga and Vika Gazinskaya. They resemble sets with skirts that our mothers wore in the 1980s — we will try to find similar ones in vintage stores.

Coveted shoes in the 2000s and hated in the 2010s. Shoes, towards which we recently snorted contemptuously, are back in trendbooks and in our hearts: from love to hate is one step — more precisely, you can’t say about shoes and ankle boots with a square toe. The models from the Bottega Veneta and By Far collection are, of course, beautiful — but it’s even more beautiful to find nostalgic ankle boots in mom’s wardrobe or, for example, on resale platforms.

According to the autumn-winter 2019 season, you can make an encyclopedia of the zero style — leopard print, square nose, logomania, and now baguette bags that are carried under the arm. Vintage models will look more interesting than new ones, and even «baguettes» go well with even strict suits, even with jeans and a sweater.
