When we think about her, we remember the great cinema, the carefree cult classics and the widest smile in show business. Therefore, it is strange that she has not acted in films for almost five years, and in romantic comedies for more than two decades.

In a new interview with the New York Times, the Oscar winner admitted that she was not going to take such a big break — it kind of happened by itself. «It wasn’t done on purpose, I just didn’t find a script that would interest me. I was surprised how quickly the years flew by,» she admitted.

Fortunately, she returned to the screens this year and played two big roles: one with her husband in the performance of a close friend of George Clooney in the upcoming movie «Ticket to Heaven», and the other — Martha Mitchell, the eccentric, talkative wife of President Richard Nixon’s lawyer in the mini—series «Gazlit».

It was at the premiere of the television project that Julia appeared on the arm of her on—screen husband, actor Sean Penn. On the red carpet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, Roberts shone in an original Gucci pantsuit with loose plaid shorts that accentuated her toned legs, and yellow. Black pumps, a loose mop of hair and an eternal decoration — a grand smile.
