On Saturday evening, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge boarded their RAF VIP Voyager aircraft and officially said goodbye to the Bahamas. The fabulous journey of the monarchs, which caused a lot of controversy, has come to an end, the suitcases are packed — it’s time to go home. Moreover, at every opportunity, Kate noted in conversation that she incredibly missed her babies, and the week of separation was very difficult for a mother with many children. However, the couple was so fascinated by the local nature that they promised the «host party» to return to the Bahamas on vacation in the near future, accompanied by George, Charlotte and Louis.

And yet, it was the surrounding nature that had a special impact on Middleton’s wardrobe. The final chord is an imitation of the sun, which, however, was very lacking for the royal couple on this trip, almost every day there were torrential rains in the Caribbean. Nevertheless, the final image of Kate looks fantastic and very fashionable. Kate wore a yellow dress with a peplum in a golden flower with a belt of her favorite Parisian brand Alessandra Rich. Perhaps this is the first image on tour that is not made by a British designer.

Just hours before their departure, William made an unprecedented statement about the disagreements that plagued the couple during their tour of Belize, Jamaica and the Bahamas. For the first time, the royal couple faced a significant negative reaction regarding the fact that Elizabeth II still «owns» these overseas territories.

The protests are the latest evidence of an ongoing historical shift. Another Caribbean country, the birthplace of Rihanna — Barbados severed ties with the queen in November 2021, voting for its first president. Jamaica will soon follow suit. William, in fact, joined the protesters, noting that «the future of island states should be determined by the people here.»
